Thank You for Testing Our First Battle Bracket
You showed up for the very first one β and that means everything. It wasn't perfect, we learned a ton, and the fixes are already in for next time.
Thank you for showing up
The first-ever Cube Battle Live Battle Bracket Challenge is in the books, and it happened because real cubers were willing to jump in and race a brand-new format. Thank you. Being a tester for the first run of anything takes patience, and you brought it.
We crowned a champion, cubers battled live on shared scrambles, and the whole bracket played out online β exactly the kind of event we're building this for.
We'll be honest β it wasn't perfect
A first live event always finds the rough edges, and this one did too. A few rooms got hung up waiting on cubers who registered but didn't seed, and a couple of moments were more confusing than they should have been about when and where to jump into your next room.
None of that is on the cubers who showed up to race. It's on us to make the event run itself so all you have to do is solve.
The fixes are already in
Here's the good part: we didn't just take notes, we shipped the fixes. Going forward, anyone who doesn't complete a seeding solve is simply left out of the bracket instead of holding up a room β so no-shows can't stall the event. Rooms resolve as soon as the cubers who actually showed up finish their solves.
We're also adding clearer, in-your-face guidance during the bracket β including an obvious prompt the moment it's your turn to enter your next room β so nobody has to wonder what happens next.
The next one will be smoother
The next Battle Bracket Challenge already has all of tonight's fixes baked in and more guidance built around it. Same fun format β register, seed, then battle through the bracket on the same scramble as everyone else β with a lot less friction.
Thanks again for being part of the very first one. Keep practicing, and we'll see you at the next bracket.
Cube Battle Live
Practice faster. Battle cleaner.
Use the timer, race the same scramble in a room, and follow the next online bracket.
