Privacy & Security
Your data should never be a mystery.
This page explains the information Cube Battle Live uses to operate accounts, the iOS app, live rooms, tournaments, rankings, and subscriptions. Last updated July 17, 2026.
Information we store
Account details such as username, email address, password hash, profile information, avatar, presence, friends, notifications, device push tokens, tournament entries, subscription status, connected WCA data, and ranked submissions. Signed-in iOS users may sync scramble, time, penalty, event, and edit or deletion timestamps for their solves.
How information is used
Data is used to sign you in, synchronize solves, show your profile, operate friends, rooms and tournaments, deliver alerts you control, calculate leaderboards, process Cube+ access, prevent duplicate submissions, and respond to safety issues. Cube Battle Live does not sell personal information.
Sessions and service providers
A browser cookie or signed mobile token keeps you signed in. Hosting and database infrastructure is provided by Render, subscription payments are handled by Stripe, account email may be delivered by Resend, and mobile alerts are delivered by Apple. Payment card details are not stored by Cube Battle Live.
Live rooms and chat
Room state and ordinary room chat are held temporarily by the live server and disappear after the room expires. Safety reports are stored for review. Public rooms can be discovered by other users; invite and friends-only rooms are excluded from the public room list.
Security measures
- Passwords are hashed and are never stored as readable text.
- Mobile credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain and account links expire after a limited time.
- Authenticated, signed room access prevents forged player identities.
- Ranking and tournament submissions are validated and tied to the signed-in user.
- Users can block and report accounts; hosts can mute, remove, and lock rooms.
- HTTPS protects information while it travels between your device and the service.
Your choices
You control room privacy, ranked submissions, and each mobile notification category. You can remove your profile photo, manage friendships, block users, and permanently delete your account and cloud data from Profile in the iOS app. Use the support form for access or correction requests.
